Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-08-27

This Privacy Policy explains how Women’s Health Services PC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information collected through our website at whsclinic.com and through the chat and text messaging services we offer.

This is not our Notice of Privacy Practices. Protected health information created or received in the course of your care is governed by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided to you separately. This Privacy Policy covers our website and our messaging services only.

Information we collect

Our website has no contact form and no online booking form. You may choose to give us information by calling us, by using the chat feature on our website, or by exchanging text messages with us. We use what you send us to respond to you and to provide care.

Like most websites, whsclinic.com collects limited technical information when you visit — your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site.

We do not send Google, or anyone else, your name, your email address, your phone number, anything you type into the chat, or any information about your care or your reason for visiting.  We do not collect that information on this website at all.

Because our site is linked to a Google Ads account, some of this technical information also reaches Google’s advertising systems — but every request this site sends is tagged to say it may not be used for advertising personalization, and we have separately switched ads personalization off in our Google account. We do not build advertising audiences, we do not run retargeting, and we do not sell or rent any of this information.

SMS and text messaging privacy

We do not share, sell, or transfer your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, or text messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with service providers who assist in delivering text messages on our behalf, solely for the purpose of transmitting your messages.

We do not send text marketing or promotional offers. If you opt in to text messages, we may send you messages about your care and about your scheduling and administrative interactions with our clinic; the specific types of messages we send are listed in our Texting Terms of Service. You can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not required in order to receive services from us.

Chat on our website

Our website offers a chat feature operated on our behalf by MedChat. Messages you send through the chat are used to respond to you and to provide care. Your conversation is transmitted directly to MedChat and held in encrypted form on their systems. It is not stored on this website and is not passed to our web host. MedChat is contractually bound to use chat content only to provide the chat service on our behalf, and not for its own marketing or advertising.

How we use and share information

We use the information described above to respond to your questions, to provide and coordinate your care, to operate and improve our website, to communicate with you when you have asked us to, and to meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • with service providers who perform services on our behalf — for example our website host, our chat and messaging vendors, and our donation platform — and only as needed for them to perform those services;
  • when you ask us to;
  • when required by law or in response to a lawful request; and
  • to protect the safety, rights, or property of our patients, our staff, or the public.

Your choices

  • Text messages. Reply STOP to any message from us to opt out at any time. See our Texting Terms of Service.
  • Cookies and analytics. Our website does not currently offer a cookie consent control, so analytics cookies are set when you visit. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics.
  • Questions about your information. Contact us using the details below.

Children’s privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled through our website and messaging services. No method of transmission over the internet or by text message is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Alternatively, you may call us at 617-277-0009 rather than sending sensitive information by text or chat.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date shown above.
