These Texting Terms of Service (“Texting Terms”) apply to the SMS and text messaging service offered by Women’s Health Services PC, located at 111 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA 02446 (“Women’s Health Services,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Texting Terms.
The messages we send
If you opt in, we may send you text messages that include:
- Replies and follow-ups to a conversation you start with us on our website, including when a member of our staff responds after you have left the page
- Appointment scheduling, confirmations, reminders, and changes
- Follow-up care information and check-ins related to your visit
- Answers to questions you send us, and requests for any information we need in order to help you
- Clinic notifications and administrative updates, such as a change to our hours or to a scheduled visit
We do not send text marketing or promotional offers.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies. How often you hear from us depends on your conversation with us, your appointments, and the services you receive.
Message and data rates
We do not charge for texting services, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.
Automated messaging
Messages we send to you may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other automated technology.
Consent is not required to receive services
You do not have to agree to receive text messages in order to receive services from us. Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving care or of purchasing any goods or services, and declining or withdrawing consent will not affect the care you receive.
How to opt out — reply STOP
If you wish to unsubscribe from receiving text messages and notifications from us, reply STOP to any mobile message sent from us. You understand and agree that alternative methods of opting out, such as using alternative words or requests, will not be considered a reasonable means of opting out.
After you send STOP, you may receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will not receive text messages from us after that unless you opt in again.
If you change your mind later and want to receive text messages again, reply START.
How to get help — reply HELP
For any questions, reply HELP to any message you receive from us. You can also call us at 617-277-0009, or reach us through the contact page at whsclinic.com/contact/.
Your mobile number and your privacy
We do not share, sell, or transfer your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, or text messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Access to your text messages and opt-in information is limited to authorized Women’s Health Services personnel and to the service providers that support message delivery, and those providers use it only to deliver your messages. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
The wireless carriers supported by our texting service are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. If you get a new mobile number, you will need to sign up for the program with your new number.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through text, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the texts.
Changes to the service
We have the right to modify any telephone number or short code we use to operate the service at any time. You agree that any messages you send to a telephone number or short code we have changed, including any STOP or HELP requests, may not be received, and we will not be liable for honoring requests made in such messages.
